Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a foot contusion.

Parise suffered the injury blocking a shot from Alex Steen in the first period of Monday's loss to the St. Louis Blues.

Wednesday's matchup against the Phoenix Coyotes will be the first game Parise will miss since signing with the Wild before last season.

Parise leads the Wild in scoring this season with 22 points in 25 games.
