Backup goaltender Peter Budaj will start in net on Friday when the Montreal Canadiens visit the Washington Capitals.

It will be the Canadiens' second game at Washington's Verizon Center in as many weeks. Budaj was in goal for a 25 save-performance last Friday when the Canadiens edged the Capitals 3-2.

The Canadiens play back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday, meaning Carey Price is expected to get the call when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.

In five games this season, Budaj has a 4-1 record with a 1.58 goals-against average and .942 save percentage.
