There are a lot of clean shaven faces on the Montreal Canadiens now that the month of "Movember" is over. Brendan Gallagher, whose moustache wasn't the easiest to grow, is getting use to life without those few extra hairs
"I felt the cool breeze on my upper lip today, but I think most people are happy the moustache is gone," Gallagher said.
The Canadiens raised their fair share of money for Movember, a cause that helps raise awarness to men's health issues. The Habs raised the most amount of money among the NHL teams, ranked eighth nationally and 20th internationally for total money raised.
The Canadiens were also the winners of a bet with the Vancouver Canucks to see which team can raise the most money. The losing team had to change their avatar on Twitter to feature the colours of the winning team for a day.
On Sunday when it was first announced that the Canadiens won that bet, the Canucks stayed true to their word and changed their avatar to include red, white and blue.
