It turns out that Daniel Briere's stay in the press box was a short one.
The Montreal Canadiens announced on Friday that the veteran forward will return to the team's line-up on Saturday night when the Habs visit the Nashville Predators. In 26 games this season, the 36-year-old Briere has five goals and five assists.
The Predators will also see a familiar face in the line-up on Saturday night. The Habs said that former Predator Francis Bouillon will also be making his return for Montreal. The 38-year-old defenceman, who is in his second stint with the Canadiens, played for three years in Nashville and is making his first trip back to the Music City since leaving the team at the end of the 2012 season. In 26 games this year, Bouillon has a pair of assists.
Carey Price gets the call in net for the Canadiens.
