The Tampa Bay Lightning announced forward Valtteri Filppula will miss approximately three weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his right ankle.

The injury will keep the Finnish forward out of the Olympics.

The 29-year-old has 20 goals and 41 points in 56 games this season, his first with Tampa Bay.

In other injury news, goalie Ben Bishop is officially listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
