New York Rangers and Norway forward Mats Zuccarello suffered a non-displaced fracture in his hand during the Sochi Olympics and will be assessed by Rangers team doctors back in New York on Thursday.

An MRI on Wednesday confirmed the injury.

Zuccarello played in three games for Norway at the Olympics and was held without a point. Norway went 0-3 in the preliminary round and was eliminated by Russia in the qualification stage.

The 26-year-old Zuccarello is leading the Rangers in scoring with 15 goals and 28 assists in 58 games this season.

The Rangers return to action next Thursday at home against the Chicago Blackhawks.
