The Carolina Hurricanes and goaltender Anton Khudobin have agreed to a contract extension, inking a two year, $4.5 million deal on Tuesday.

In 22 appearances this season, he has a 13-8 record with a 2.17 goals-against-average and a .927 save percentage.

Khudobin was originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the seventh round (206th overall) in 2004.

After a brief stint with the Boston Bruins, the 27-year-old signed a one-year deal worth $800,000 with the Carolina Hurricanes as an unrestricted free agent last summer.
