Canucks place D. Sedin on IR, out indefinitely

Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin is out indefinitely and has been placed on injured reserve.

Speaking on a conference call on Tuesday, Canucks general manager Mike Gillis said the team in unaware of when the 33-year-old will return.

Sedin left the Canucks' Heritage Classic game against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday during the second period. He did not return to the game.

It was later announced Sedin had suffered a lower-body injury.

In 63 games with the Canucks this season, Sedin has 13 goals and 27 assists.
