Roberto Luongo will not be in the lineup on Saturday night when the Florida Panthers host the Montreal Canadiens.

Luongo left Thursday's game against the Carolina after the first period with an upper body injury sustained in a collision with Hurricanes forward Radek Dvorak.

Dvorak was assessed a game misconduct at 12:48 of the first when he crashed into Luongo and sent him into the net, knocking it off its moorings.

Head coach Peter Horachek said Friday that Dan Ellis will start in goal for the Panthers, with Scott Clemmensen as the backup.
