Kreider, Rangers agree to new two-year, $4.95M deal

Chris Kreider and the New York Rangers avoided arbitration on Wednesday, agreeing to two-year deal, reportedly worth $4.95 million, according to the New York Post's Larry Brooks.

Kreider scored 17 goals and added 20 assists in 66 games with the Rangers in 2013-14. He scored five goals and 13 points in 15 playoff games.

The 23-year-old just completed the final year of his three-year entry-level contract worth an average annual value of $1.325 million including performance bonuses.

Kreider was drafted by the Rangers in the first round (19th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft. In 89 career games, Kreider has scored 19 goals and 40 points.
