The Winnipeg Jets are bringing back defenceman Keaton Ellerby. The unrestricted free agent agreed to terms with the club on Thursday on a one-year, two-way deal worth $700,000.

The 25-year-old had two goals and four assists in 51 games with the Jets last season. He was claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings on Nov. 2, 2013.

The Jets chose not to give Ellerby a qualifying offer back at the June 30 deadline, which made him an unrestricted free agent.

He was picked in the first round, 10th overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 2007 Draft. In 211 NHL contests over five seasons Ellerby has four goals and 22 assists.
