NEW YORK, N.Y. - Denver Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for his hard foul against Utah Jazz guard Alec Burks.

The league announced the punishment on Tuesday.

Burks was driving to the basket in the fourth quarter of Denver's 103-101 win on Monday night when he was hit in the side of the head by Afflalo, who received a flagrant-2 foul and was ejected. Afflalo and Burks pointed at each other and exchanged words before he left the court.
