William Nylander has set a Toronto Maple Leafs rookie record with a point in his tenth consecutive game.

The 20-year-old set the mark with an assist on Josh Leivo’s first period marker against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday.

Nylander broke a four-way tie with Gus Bodnar (1943-44), Bob Nevin (1960-61) and Dan Daoust (1982-82), who all recorded a point in nine straight games.

Nylander also added a goal later in the first period.

In the second period, Mitch Marner tied Bodnar's record for assists by a rookie with his 40th of the season.
