KINGSTON, Ont. - Calgary Flames prospect Sam Bennett continues to shine since returning to the Ontario Hockey League.

Bennett had a hat trick and added an assist as the Kingston Frontenacs won their fifth straight by shutting out the North Bay Battalion 6-0 on Saturday night.

In nine games this season, the fourth-overall selection in the 2014 NHL draft has 11 goals and 10 assists.

Lawson Crouse had a goal and two assists, with Ryan Verbeek and Conor McGlynn also chipping in for the Frontenacs (30-26-8). Lucas Peressini stopped all 26 shots he faced.

Jake Smith made 33 saves in goal for North Bay (33-20-11).

Kingston scored once on four power plays while the Battalion were unsuccessful on their lone attempt.

ERIE, Pa. — Connor McDavid scored twice and had an assist as the Otters topped Windsor.

Remi Elie had a goal and two assists while Darren Raddysh added the other for Erie (46-14-4), which won its sixth straight.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Mitchell Fitzmorris scored his first goal of the season shorthanded at 19:51 of the third period as the IceDogs edged Sudbury.

Danny Desrochers, Conor Cummins and Brody Silk had goals for the Wolves (12-51-2).

OSHAWA, Ont. — Hunter Smith scored the first of five straight in the third period for the Generals as they dominated Mississauga.

Tobias Lindberg, Dakota Mermis, Matt Mistele and Anthony Cirelli also chipped in with goals in the third for Oshawa (49-10-5). Michael Dal Colle opened the scoring in the first.

Everett Clark had a goal in the second for the Steelheads (24-38-3). Michael McLeod was ejected in the third period after receiving a major penalty for checking to the head.

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Nick Ritchie was one of three Greyhounds to have a goal and an assist as they doubled up Sarnia.

Michael Bunting and Sergey Tolchinsky also had similar nights for Sault Ste. Marie (53-12-2). Medric Mercier, Colton White and Bryan Moore rounded out the attack while Blake Speers added three assists.
