KINGSTON, Ont. - Joseph Blandisi capped off his hat trick in style on Friday night.

Blandisi had a short-handed goal in the third period for his third of the game, and it proved to be the winner for the Barrie Colts in a 5-4 win over the Kingston Frontenacs in Ontario Hockey League play.

Garrett Hooey and Andrew Mangiapane also scored for the Colts (7-4-1).

Robert Polesello had a hat trick of his own in the loss for the Frontenacs (5-4-1). Juno Lammikko had the other goal for Kingston.

Jordan DeKort turned aside nine shots for the win while Jeremy Helvig suffered the loss, making 31 saves.

The Frontenacs were successful on 2 of 7 power-play opportunities while Barrie was scoreless on two attempts.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Alex Henriksson struck twice to help get North Bay by the IceDogs.

PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Matt Mistele and Will Bitten both had two goals for the Whalers as they shut out Mississauga.

Matthew Campagna added another while Sonny Milano had three assists for Plymouth (6-5-1).

Alex Nedeljkovic made 16 saves for the shutout while Cameron Zanussi kicked out 30 shots for the Steelheads (4-4-0).

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Dylan Strome struck twice for Erie as they edged the Greyhounds.

Taylor Raddysh, Trent Fox, Nick Betz and Connor McDavid all found the back of the net for the Otters (10-0-1).

Edmonton Oilers prospect Darnell Nurse scored his first of the year for Sault Ste. Marie (9-3-0). Colton White, Blake Speers and Jean Dupuy rounded out the attack.

KITCHENER, Ont. — Petrus Palmu found the back of the net in the shootout to lift Owen Sound over the Rangers.
