SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. - A big first period by Michael Bunting led Sault Ste. Marie to its sixth-straight win.

Bunting scored twice in the first period and completed the hat trick 47 seconds into the third as the Greyhounds routed the North Bay Battalion 7-3 in Ontario Hockey League action on Friday.

Zachary Senyshyn and Sergey Tolchinsky also had goals in a four-goal first for Sault Ste. Marie (44-11-2). Tyler Hore and Jean Dupuy supplied the rest of the offence.

Nick Paul had a pair of goals for the Battalion (28-16-11) with Alex Henriksson also chipping in.

Brandon Halverson stopped 31 shots for the win. Jake Smith got the loss, turning aside 14-of-18 shots in 20 minutes. Jake Kment played the final 40 minutes making 21 saves.

The Greyhounds had one goal on six power-play chances while North Bay converted three times on five opportunities with the man advantage.

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — Billy Jenkins and Brendan Perlini scored in the shootout as the IceDogs edged Peterborough.

Graham Knott tied the game midway through the third for Niagara (27-24-4) with his 20th of the season.

Nathan Pancel had the lone goal for the Petes (22-27-6).

PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Slater Doggett scored late in the third period as Windsor snapped a three-game skid with a win over the Whalers.

Markus Soberg broke a scoreless tie at 17:14 of the second with a goal on the power play for the Spitfires (23-30-3).

Ryan Moore evened the game with his seventh of the season for Plymouth (19-32-4).

SARNIA, Ont. — Holden Cook scored two-of-six goals in the third period as Owen Sound beat the Sting.

Daniel Milne also had a pair of goals for the Attack (26-19-9) in their third straight win. Ethan Szypula, Erik Bradford, Kyle Platzer and Zach Nastasiuk rounded out the attack.

Jakob Chychrun, Anthony Salinitri, Hayden Hodgson, Daniel Nikandrov and Nikita Korostelev all found the back of the net for Sarnia (25-24-7).

GUELPH, Ont. — Pius Suter scored the first of three straight in the third period as Guelph stormed back to beat Erie.

Tyler Boston and Tyler Hill also had goals in the third for the Storm (32-20-4), who won their fourth in a row. Chris Marchese chipped in with a goal in the second.

Nicholas Baptiste and Darren Raddysh opened the scoring for the Otters (38-13-4) in the first. Remi Elie added the other.

LONDON, Ont. — Christian Dvorak had the only goal in the shootout as the Knights edged Oshawa for their third-straight win.

Julius Bergman struck twice in regulation for London (33-20-3) and Aaron Berisha also scored. Mitchell Marner added three assists.

Josh Brown, Will Petschenig and Sam Harding had goals for the Generals (43-7-5). Oshawa hasn't lost in regulation in 15 games.

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Conor McGlynn scored his 19th of the season as Kingston used three power-play goals to beat the Steelheads.

Ryan Verbeek and Juho Lammikko also added goals on the man advantage for the Frontenacs (21-24-8). Samuel Schutt added an empty-net goal as they snapped a three-game skid.

Josh Burnside responded with a power-play goal of his own for Mississauga (22-31-3).

OTTAWA — Ben Fanjoy and Nevin Guy had goals in the first period as the 67's beat Saginaw for their sixth straight.

Connor Graham and Sam Studnicka also scored for Ottawa (32-20-3).

Jacob Ringuette responded in the second for the Spirit (23-29-3), as they lost their sixth straight.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Jeff Corbett scored in the third period as the Wolves edged Kitchener to snap a four-game skid.

Matt Schmalz had a power-play goal in the first for Sudbury (10-44-2).

Mike Davies chipped in for the Rangers (27-19-9) in the second.
