Nicolas Hague scored a hat trick and added an assist as the Mississauga Steelheads routed the Guelph Storm 11-3 on Wednesday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Brendan Harrogate and Owen Tippett each struck twice with Tippett adding an assist for the Steelheads (3-4-0). Michael McLeod had a goal and three assists while Sean Day, Jacob Moverare and Jason Smith rounded out the attack. Nathan Bastian tacked on five helpers.

Nate Schnarr, Liam Stevens and Givani Smith scored for Guelph (3-5-0).

Matthew Mancina made 38 saves for the win in net. Liam Herbst started for the Storm but was pulled after turning aside 15-of-19 shots in 20 minutes. Anthony Popovich went the rest of the way and allowed seven goals on 32 shots.

Mississauga went 2 for 4 on the power play while Guelph scored once on five opportunities.

OTTERS 7 STING 2

ERIE, Pa. — Alex DeBrincat had two goals and an assist as the Otters powered past Sarnia.

Ivan Lodnia, Patrick Fellows, Taylor Raddysh, Kyle Pettit and Brett Newmann supplied the rest of the offence for Erie (4-3-0). Troy Timpano made 30 saves.

Jeff King and Jordan Ernst scored for the Sting (5-2-1). Justin Fazio started but was pulled after kicking out 7-of-12 shots in 28:13. Aidan Hughes stopped 14 shots in relief.

Darren Raddysh of the Otters received a major penalty and game misconduct late in the second period.
