OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Cody Payne scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Niagara IceDogs to a 7-4 victory over the Owen Sound Attack in Ontario Hockey League action on Wednesday.

Carter Verhaeghe had a four-point night with an empty-net goal and three assists for Niagara (20-21-4), which has picked up points in 11 straight games. Brendan Perlini scored one goal and helped on two more, and Vince Dunn, Billy Jenkins and Anthony DiFruscia also scored.

Chris Bigras led Owen Sound (20-15-9) with a goal and an assist. Erik Bradford, Jonah Gadjovich and Jacob Busch supplied the rest of the offence.

IceDogs goaltender Brandon Hope made 25 saves for the victory.

Owen Sound's Michael McNiven stopped 35 shots in the losing effort.

Niagara benefited from Attack penalties, converting on two of four power-play opportunities, while Owen Sound scored twice on six chances with the man advantage.

SUDBURY, Ont. — Joseph Blandisi scored two goals and set up another as Barrie handed the Wolves their 15th straight defeat.

Kevin Labanc had a goal and three assists for the Colts (28-16-2), Andrew Mangiapane and Brendan Lemieux both struck on the power play, and Roy Radke also scored.

Jeff Corbett and Travis Wood replied for Sudbury (7-36-2).

BATTALION 5 STEELHEADS 1

NORTH BAY, Ont. — Mike Amadio had three assists and five different Battalion skaters found the back of the net en route to victory over Mississauga.

Miles Liberati, Ryan Kujawinski and Nick Paul had a goal and a helper for North Bay (23-12-9), while Brett McKenzie and Hampus Olsson also scored.

Jimmy Lodge supplied the offence for the Steelheads (19-25-3).
