OSHAWA, Ont. - Hunter Smith scored three goals, with two coming on the power play, to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 4-2 victory over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday.

Anthony Cirelli also scored for the East Division leading Generals (9-1-1), who outshot their opponent 37-29. Bradley Latour and Cole Cassels chipped in with two assists apiece.

Michael Bunting and Gabe Guertler replied for Sault Ste. Marie (8-2-0), which leads the West Division.

Oshawa goaltender Ken Abbleby made 27 saves in the victory. Brandon Halverson stopped 33 shots for the Greyhounds.

The Generals were 2 for 5 on the power play, while Sault Ste. Marie failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

STORM 5 SPIRIT 3

GUELPH, Ont. — Robby Fabbri scored twice as the Storm beat Saginaw.

Tyler Bertuzzi had a goal and three assists for Guelph (6-2-0) while Stephen Pierog and Austin Hall also scored.

Artem Artemov scored twice for the Spirit (4-5-1), while Nick Moutrey had the other Saginaw goal.

Justin Nichols made 32 saves for Guelph. Jake Paterson stopped 26 shots for Saginaw.

BATTALION 4 STEELHEADS 3

NORTH BAY, Ont., Nick Paul scored twice to lead the Battalion over Mississauga.

Zach Bratina and Brenden Miller also scored for North Bay (4-1-3).

Sam Babintsev had a goal and an assist for the Steelheads (4-3-0). Lucas Venuto and Everett Clark also scored.

Jake Smith made 14 saves for North Bay, while Spencer Martin stopped 45 shots for Mississauga.

ATTACK 5 SPITFIRES 4 (OT)

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Thomas Schemitsch scored his second goal of the game in overtime as the Attack edged Windsor.

Daniel Milne and Holden Cook each had a goal and two assists for Owen Sound (5-3-3), while Zach Nastasiuk contributed a goal and an assist.

Sam Povorozniouk scored twice for Windsor (3-5-1). Luke Kirwan and Cristiano DiGiacinto had the other goals.

Jack Flinn made 30 saves for Owen Sound. Brendan Johnston turned aside 37 shots for Windsor.

OTTAWA — Dante Salituro scored three goals to lead the 67's over Plymouth.

Artur Tyanulin and Dylan McDonald had the other goals for Ottawa (4-5-0), and Liam Herbst made 25 saves.

Connor Chatham, Yannick Rathgeb and Mathieu Henderson had goals for Plymouth (4-5-1) while Zack Bowman stopped 21 shots.

The game took an ugly turn in the second period when Plymouth defenceman Gianluca Curcuruto received a game misconduct for an elbow to the head of Ottawa captain Travis Konecny. Konecny did not return to the game after the hit.
