Stilwell defends Paralympic title in 200m; breaks record

LONDON - Wheelchair sprinter Michelle Stilwell of Nanoose Bay, B.C., has defended her Paralympic title in the women's 200 metres. She also broke the previous Paralympic record.

The 38-year-old set a Games record of 33.80 seconds in the T52 event for quadriplegics.

Stilwill goes for gold again next week when she races the 100 metres.

At the pool, Valerie Grand'Maison of Fleurimont, Que., won silver in the women's 50-metre freestyle.

The visually impaired swimmer is racing three more events in London.
