Men's snowboard cross postponed to Tuesday due to fog

The Olympic men's snowboard cross event was postponed due to heavy fog on Monday at Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.

The jury checked seven points on the course acknowledging that the bottom area was clear however the top of section of the course was ultimately ruled unsafe for competition. After waiting more than three hours for visibility to improve, officials called off the race.

Seeding runs have been officially cancelled and competition will begin on Tuesday in 1/8 finals with athletes seeded according to their current FIS points. Competition will begin at 1:30 am ET.
