NEW YORK, N.Y. - Florida Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck and Detroit Red Wings forward Gustav Nyquist were fined US$2,000 by the NHL on Wednesday for diving and embellishment.

Trocheck was issued a warning following an incident on Dec. 12. He was fined as a result of an incident in a game against the Washington Capitals last Sunday.

Nyquist was warned after a Nov. 28 game at New Jersey and was fined after an incident in a game Dec. 29 at Boston.

The diving-embellishment rule (NHL Rule 64) was revised this season. Fines are assessed on a graduated scale after an initial warning.
