The Toronto Raptors overturned a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but the Washington Wizards controlled the boards in the extra frame to take Game 1, 93-86.

Kyle Lowry fouled out in the fourth.

Consistent thorn in the side of the Raptors, Paul Pierce, led the way for the Wizards with 18 points. Nene Hilario added 12 points and 13 boards.

The Raptors were outrebounded 61-48.

Amir Johnson was the Raptors' leading scorer with 18. DeMar DeRozan had 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Game 2 goes on Tuesday evening at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
