Toronto Police have issued a statement regarding a fraudulent ticket scam involving counterfeit Toronto Blue Jays tickets.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a fraudulent ticket scam.

Recently, officers have started investigating a number of complaints from people who have bought fake tickets for different entertainment events.

A number of these tickets purchased appear to be real Toronto Blue Jays tickets, but were fake and were difficult to detect.

Investigators would like to remind the public that tickets for entertainment venues should be bought through an accredited source.

The possession, or use. of fraudulent tickets could result in refusal of entry by the venue, a fine, charge, or arrest. In all cases, fraudulent tickets are non-refundable.
