QMJHL: Abramov, Olympiques down Armada

GATINEAU, Que. - Rookie Vitalii Abramov made quite the impact in his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League debut.
The 17-year-old Russian winger scored twice and set up two more goals as his Gatineau Olympiques downed the visiting Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 4-1 on Friday.
Alex Dostie had a goal and two assists for the Olympiques (1-0-0), Joey Richard added a goal while Yan Pavel Laplante tacked on three assists.
Kristian Pospisil supplied the offence for the Armada (0-1-0).
Gatineau's Mathieu Bellemare made 20 saves for his first QMJHL victory as Mark Grametbauer turned aside 27-of-30 shots for Blainville-Boisbriand.
The Olympiques went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Armada failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

BATHURST, N.B. — Pierre-Luc Dubois scored 2:56 into extra time and Alexandre Belanger made 31 saves as Cape Breton slipped past the Titan.
Anthony Sorrentino and Yannik Bertrand also scored for the Screaming Eagles (1-0-0).
Egor Popov and Daniil Miromanov found the back of the net for Acadie-Bathurst (0-0-1), which got a 28-save outing from Reilly Pickard.

CHARLOTTETOWN — Chris Chaddock scored the shootout winner and Daryl MacCallum stopped 37 shots as the Islanders edged Halifax.
Oliver Cooper, Filip Rydstrom and Mitchel Balmas scored in regulation for Charlottetown (1-0-0).
Otto Somppi scored once for the Mooseheads (0-0-1) and set up goals from Vincent Watt and Ilya Putintsev. Eric Brassard made 36 saves in a losing cause.

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Antoine Waked scored with 28 seconds remaining in overtime as Rouyn-Noranda picked up a win over the Phoenix.
Mathieu Boucher and Vincent Chapleau also struck for the Huskies (1-0-0) as Samuel Harvey made 27 saves for the victory.
Evan Fitzpatrick gave Sherbrooke (0-0-1) a chance to win by kicking out 51-of-54 shots. Guillaume Gauthier and Julien Bahl produced the offence for the Phoenix.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Mathieu Nadeau each had a pair of goals as Val-d"or hammered the Tigres.
Carl Tremblay, Yan Dion and Nathan Tremblay added the rest of the scoring for the Foreurs (1-0-0). Etienne Monpetit stopped 20-of-23 shots for the win.
Felix Lauzon, Jacob Lapierre and Jimmy Huntington scored for Victoriaville (0-1-0) while Olivier Tremblay made 31 saves in defeat.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Alex Barre-Boulet had a four-point outing — including a hat trick — and Nicolas Lachance had 26 saves as the Voltigeurs doubled up Baie-Comeau.
Michael Carcone scored once and added three helpers for Drummondville (1-0-0) while Philippe Pelletier-Leblanc and Justin Doucet added singles.
Nicolas Leblond, Nicolas Meloche and Raphael Santerre found the scoresheet for the Drakkar (0-1-0), who got a 28-save performance in net from Evgeny Kiselev.
