ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Mathieu Boucher scored with two seconds left in regulation time as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies slipped past the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-2 on Thursday in the first game of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard and Bruno-Carl Denis gave Rouyn-Noranda (1-0-0) a 2-0 lead by the second intermission.

Connor Bramwell had back-to-back goals at the 15:09 and 18:38 marks of the third period for Blainville-Boisbriand (0-1-0).

Samuel Harvey made 30 saves to earn the win for the Huskies, while Francis Leclerc stopped 23 shots for the Armada.

Rouyn-Noranda went 2 for 4 on the power play and Blainville-Boisbriand could not score on its two man advantages.
