CHICOUTIMI, Que. - Anthony Beauvillier scored twice and Marvin Cupper made 35 saves as the Shawinigan Cataractes downed the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 5-1 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Gabriel Slight had a goal and an assist for Shawinigan (34-24-3), while Dennis Yan and Dylan Labbe rounded out the offence.

Charles Guevremont had the lone goal for the Sagueneens (25-30-6) and Storm Phaneuf stopped 29 shots.

The Cataractes were 2 for 5 on the power play. Chicoutimi failed to find the back of the net on three chances with the man advantage.

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Alexandre Fortin scored two goals and set up three more as the Huskies sank Baie-Comeau.

Redgie Bois also struck twice for Rouyn-Noranda (30-27-4), which scored four times in the second period. Mathieu Boucher had a goal and three assists, Jeremy Lauzon and Ryan Penny had a goal and a helper apiece, and Julien Nantel and Antoine Waked also scored.

Jeremy Gregoire replied for the Drakkar (33-21-8).

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Vladimir Tkachev had a four-point night with two goals and two assists to power Quebec past the Tigres.

Anthony Duclair and Jerome Verrier each struck twice for the Remparts (38-21-8) while Aaron Dutra, Guillaume Gauthier and Dmytro Timashov also scored. Kurt Etchegary chipped in with four assists.

Angelo Miceli led Victoriaville (27-29-6) with a goal and a helper. Nikita Li and Gabriel Gagne supplied the rest of the offence.
