QMJHL: Coughler scores winner as Islanders edge Cataractes
Jake Coughler scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period to lift the Charlottetown Islanders to their fifth consecutive win, 3-2 over the Shawinigan Cataractes on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Jake Coughler scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period to lift the Charlottetown Islanders to their fifth consecutive win, 3-2 over the Shawinigan Cataractes on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Matthew Grouchy and Keith Getson also scored for Charlottetown (18-10-1) while Coughler supplied an assist for a two-point night.
William Gignac struck twice for the Cataractes (17-9-2), who have dropped five straight (0-3-2), and Samuel Guilbault assisted on both goals.
Islanders goaltender Matthew Welsh stopped 25 shots. Shawinigan's Mikhail Denisov made 24 saves.
Shawinigan's Mathieu Olivier got a game misconduct for being an aggressor 27 seconds into the third period. Kameron Kielly of the Islanders received a game misconduct for being the third man in an altercation.
