CHICOUTIMI, Que. - Captain Laurent Dauphin had a hat trick and added an assist in the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 7-3 rout of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Janne Puhakka had back-to-back goals for Chicoutimi (8-12-1), while Charles Guevremont and William Gignac also scored. Julio Billia made 23 saves for the win.

Maxime St-Cyr, Luca Ciampini and Jasmin Boutet replied for Baie-Comeau (14-6-3). Philippe Cadorette stopped 27-of-33 shots in 52:28 of work, getting pulled after Dauphin's third goal. Reilly Pickard turned aside 2-of-3 shots he faced in relief.

It was an undisciplined game with several fighting majors handed out in the second period. The Sagueneens earned 34 minutes in penalties, with the Drakkar getting 38 penalty minutes.

Chicoutimi went 3 for 6 on the power play, while Baie-Comeau was 1 for 4 with the man advantage.
