ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Martins Dzierkals struck twice and Gabriel Fontaine had a goal and two assists as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies toppled the visiting Victoriaville Tigres 6-2 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Felix Bibeau and Tyler Hinam also scored for the Huskies (10-2-1).

Charles-Antoine Poirier-Turcot stopped 28 shots for the win.

Tristan Pomerleau opened the scoring early in the first period for the Tigres (7-7-1) before the reigning President Cup champions reeled off six unanswered goals. Ivan Kosorenkov added his team's second goal late in the third.

Olivier Tremblay started in net for Victoriaville and allowed five goals on 21 shots before giving way to James Povall, who made 14 saves in 30:25 of relief.

Rouyn-Noranda went 2 for 4 on the power play while the Tigres score once on five chances with the man advantage.

Tigres defenceman Vincent Lanoue was handed a major and game misconduct for kneeing midway through the third period.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Nicolas Roy had a pair of goals and Xavier Potvin made 22 saves as the Sagueneens downed Rimouski.

Dmitry Zhukenov, Jake Smith and Ryan Verbeek also found the back of the net for Chicoutimi (5-7-0).

Simon Bourque and Carson MacKinnon responded for the Oceanic (7-6-0). Alexandre Lagace stopped 11-of-14 shots in 27:13 of action. Charles-Olivier Levesque went the rest of the way and made nine saves.
