DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. - Nicolas Aube-Kubel scored twice as the Val-d'Or Foreurs extended their win streak to 12 games with a 5-2 victory against the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Wednesday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Anthony Richard, Alexis Pepin and Jan Mandat also scored for the Foreurs (34-22-8) while Julien Gauthier added two assists.

Sergei Boikov and Michael Carcone replied for the Voltigeurs (25-35-4), who are just 2-7-1 in their past 10 contests.

Val-d'Or's Keven Bouchard made 28 saves for the win as Joe Fleschler stopped 26-of-29 shots in a losing cause.

The Foreurs went 0-for-2 on the power play while the Voltigeurs scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

SCREAMING EAGLES 8 SEA DOGS 3

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Maxim Lazarev had a hat trick while Evgeny Svechnikov scored once and set up three more as Cape Breton hammered the Sea Dogs.

Olivier LeBlanc, Colby Tower, Marcus Hinds and Duncan MacIntyre also scored for the Screaming Eagles (29-29-6). Miguel Sullivan made 22 saves for the win.

Nathan Noel had a pair of goals for Saint John (31-24-9) and Adam Bateman added the other. Sebastien Auger allowed five goals on 24 shots before being replaced by Alex Bishop to start the third period. Bishop turned aside 9-of-11 shots in relief.

ISLANDERS 5 TITAN 2

BATHURST, N.B. — Daryl MacCallum made 29 saves and Alexander Goulet was one of three Charlottetown players with a goal and an assist as the Islanders handed the Titan their eighth straight loss.

Kameron Kielly and Samuel Guibault also had a goal and a helper for Charlottetown (32-27-5), which is 4-0-1 in its last five outings. Daniel Sprong and Spenser Cobbold both added goals.

Christophe Boivin struck twice for Acadie-Bathurst (15-42-7) as Daniel Vatour stopped 31-of-36 shots in the defeat.

Titan winger Andrew Ryan was ejected at 19:51 of the first after being assessed a game misconduct for hitting from behind.

CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Justin Samson scored the winner in the seventh round of the shootout while Philippe Desrosiers made 26 saves as league-leading Rimouski slipped past the Sagueneens.

Anthony DeLuca, Tyler Boland and Michael Joly scored in regulation for the Oceanic (43-15-5), who are 6-0-1 in their past seven outings.

Chicoutimi (27-30-7) got goals from Sebastien Gauthier, Nicolas Roy and Alexandre Ranger. Julio Billia stopped 32-of-35 shots.
