MONCTON, N.B. - Austin Kosack scored 4:43 into overtime and the Moncton Wildcats rallied from a three-goal deficit to edge the Charlottetown Islanders 5-4 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Jacob Sweeney and Conor Garland had a goal and an assist apiece for the Wildcats (30-10-6), who scored three straight goals after going down 3-0 early in the first period. Zack MacEwen and Kevin Klima rounded out the attack while Cody Donaghey chipped in with two assists.

Oliver Cooper scored two goals and set up another to lead Charlottetown (16-21-7). Filip Rydstrom and Nicolas Leblond supplied the rest of the offence.

Blade Mann-Dixon gave up three early goals on eight shots through 7:50 of action. Keven Bouchard stopped 25-of-26 shots the rest of the way.

Matthew Welsh made 33 saves in the losing effort.

Moncton failed to score on three power-play chances while the Islanders made good on both of their opportunities with the man advantage.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Alexandre Lagace made 33 saves and the Oceanic had four different scorers in their win over Rouyn-Noranda.

Samuel Laberge, Tyler Boland and Dylan Montcalm had a goal and an assist apiece for Rimouski (25-15-4). Deven St-Hilaire also scored.

Julien Nantel had the lone goal for the league-leading Huskies (33-7-4).

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Anthony Richard struck twice and Val-d'Or rallied with three consecutive goals to edge the Phoenix.

Jan Mandat tied the game with a power-play goal 6:28 into the third and Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant put the Foreurs (33-9-3) ahead less than two minutes later.

Anthony Chapados, Nicolas Poulin and Daniel Audette scored for Sherbrooke (15-23-6).

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Jonathan Bourcier scored four goals and set up one more to power Chicoutimi past the Tigres.

Nicolas Roy had a goal and three assists for the Sagueneens (20-17-6) and Landon Schiller and Jake Smith also scored.

Mathieu Ayotte and Alexandre Goulet had a goal and a helper apiece for Victoriaville (20-17-7) while Daniel Krenzelok rounded out the offence.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Olivier LeBlanc scored the winner at 4:29 of overtime as the Screaming Eagles edged Acadie-Bathurst.

Pierre-Luc Dubois struck twice while Evgeny Svechnikov had a goal and three assists for Cape Breton (22-19-4). Clark Bishop, Giovanni Fiore and Jordan Ty Fournier also scored, with Maxim Lazarev tacking on four helpers.

Jordan Maher had a goal and two assists for the Titan (17-22-5). Nicolas Dumulong, Samuel L'Italien, Emanuel Aucoin, Daniil Miromanov and Vladimir Kuznetsov rounded out the attack.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Sam Povorozniouk scored two goals and assisted on two more to lead the Sea Dogs over Halifax.

Spencer Smallman had a goal and two helpers for Saint John (27-13-3) while Thomas Chabot and Nathan Noel, into an empty net with 29 seconds remaining, supplied the rest of the offence.

Maxime Fortier and Joel Bishop found the back of the net for the Mooseheads (15-24-6).
