HALIFAX - Mason McDonald kicked out 36-of-37 shots as the Charlottetown Islanders toppled the host Halifax Mooseheads 4-1 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.

Guillaume Rioux-Legault had a goal and an assist for the Islanders (8-7-1) while Luc Deschenes, Spenser Cobbold and Chris Chaddock added the others.

Philippe Gadoury supplied the offence for the Mooseheads (5-10-2), who have dropped three games in a row, and Zachary Fucale stopped 21-of-24 in defeat.

Charlottetown went 1 for 4 on the power play while Halifax scored once on nine chances with the man advantage.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Brandon Whitney made 24 saves and Jordan Ty Fournier's goal 2:04 into the second period stood as the winner as the Tigres downed Acadie-Bathurst.

Mathieu Ayotte, Antoine Marcoux and Yan Pavel Laplante also scored for Victoriaville (9-5-2).

Nicholas Blanchard scored the lone goal for the Titan (5-11-1) while Antoine Landry turned aside 29-of-32 shots in a losing cause.
