BAIE-COMEAU, Que. - Francis Perron scored the only goal of the shootout as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies got past the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-4 on Tuesday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Gabriel Fontaine, Anthony-John Greer, Jean-Christophe Beaudin and Timo Meier supplied the offence in regulation for the Huskies (43-9-5), who won their third in a row.

Samuel Thibault, Mikael Sabourin, Jordan Martel and Vincent Deslauriers had goals for Baie-Comeau (8-43-5), which has dropped 12 straight. It was the first game behind the bench for general manager Steve Ahern after the team fired Marco Pietroniro two days ago.

Chase Marchand made 21 saves through regulation and overtime while stopping all three skaters in the shootout for the win in net. Antoine Samuel kicked out 24-of-28 shots in defeat.

Rouyn-Noranda converted four times on nine power-play chances, with the Drakkar going 0 for 6.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Simon Bourque's power-play goal at 19:53 of the first period proved to be the winner as the Oceanic slipped past Chicoutimi.

Nicolas Werbik opened the scoring with a short-handed goal earlier in the first for Rimouski (32-19-6).

Nicolas Roy responded with a power-play goal in the second for the Sagueneens (26-22-9).
