SYDNEY, N.S. - Evgeny Svechnikov scored a hat trick as the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles doubled up the Charlottetown Islanders 4-2 on Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Alexandre Gosselin started the scoring 3:58 into the first period for Cape Breton (13-11-3), which also beat the Islanders on Friday night.

Bradley Kennedy responded with a pair of power-play goals for Charlottetown (11-12-3).

Alexandre Belanger turned away 20 shots for the win as Matthew Welsh made 33 saves for the Islanders.

The Screaming Eagles went 1 for 6 on the power play while Charlottetown scored twice on five chances.

Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau, Jonathan Bourcier and Antoine Marcoux had goals for Chicoutimi (10-12-3).
