SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Mathieu Joseph scored two special-teams goals as the Saint John Sea Dogs beat the Sherbrooke Phoenix 5-2 on Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Joseph opened the scoring for the Sea Dogs (27-18-7) with a short-handed goal and followed it up with a power-play goal in the third period. Samuel Dove-McFalls had an empty-net goal and three assists, while Justice Dundas and Adam Bateman added the others. The loss snaps a two-game losing skid for Saint John, which had four-straight goals to end the game.

Chase Harwell, on the power play, and Raphael Lafontaine found the back of the net for Sherbrooke (29-19-4).

Sebastien Auger kicked out 30 shots in net for the win. Evan Fitzpatrick turned away 28-of-32 shots in 59:04 for the Phoenix.

The Sea Dogs converted twice on three power plays while Sherbrooke went 1 for 4.

Saint John's Bokondji Imama was ejected at 13:04 of the first period after receiving a penalty for cross checking.

SCREAMING EAGLES 7 TITAN 1

SYDNEY, N.S. -- Kyle Farrell scored his 36th goal late in the first period while shorthanded as the Screaming Eagles routed Acadie-Bathurst.

Bradley Lalonde and Evgeny Svechnikov had goals on the power play for Cape Breton (22-23-5). Loik Leveille, Maxim Lazarev, Alexandre Gosselin and Jacob Smith rounded out the attack.

Jordan Maher replied in the second period for the Titan (14-34-6), who have lost four in a row.

QUEBEC -- Anthony Duclair and Vladimir Tkachev each had a goal and two assists as the Remparts downed Shawinigan.

Marc-Olivier Roy, Yanick Turcotte, Guillaume Gauthier and Ryan Graves also scored for Quebec (31-18-3). The Remparts scored five straight to end the game and won their third in a row.

Christophe Lalonde scored 1:25 into the game for the Cataractes (27-21-3), with Gabriel Slight adding a goal on the power play.

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. -- Frederic Gamelin and Jamie Clavet scored in the second period as the Drakkar won their third in a row by defeating Drummondville.

Vaclav Karabacek opened the scoring in the first for Baie-Comeau (30-15-7).

Alex Barre-Boulet responded 22 seconds into the third period for the Voltigeurs (23-25-3).

BOISBRIAND, Que. -- Danick Martel struck twice-- including the first of five straight to end the game-- as the Armada dominated Gatineau.

Miguel Picard got the scoring started for Blainville-Boisbriand (32-13-7) in the first period. After Martel's first of the game on the power play later in the first, Philippe Sanche also converted on the man advantage in the second. Fabrizio Ricci and Nikita Jevpalovs rounded out the attack. Jevpalovs also added three assists.

Jonathan Bourcier had a power-play goal for the Olympiques (19-30-4), who have now lost five in a row.

VAL-D'OR, Que. -- Pierre-Maxime Poudrier had a short-handed goal in the third period as the Foreurs scored five straight and beat Rouyn-Noranda.

Anthony Richard and Julien Gauthier found the back of the net on the power play for Val-d'Or (22-21-8). Olivier Galipeau and Simon Tremblay added the others.

Ryan Penny had a pair of goals for the Huskies (25-23-3). Julien Nantel had a short-handed goal in the second.
