SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Nathan Noel scored twice as the Saint John Sea Dogs downed the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 6-2 in Game 7 of their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff series on Tuesday night.

Jacob Zboril had a short-handed, empty-net goal and two assists for Saint John, which won the series to advance to the league semifinals. Matt Murphy, Sam Povorozniouk, and Daniel Del Paggio rounded out the attack while Luke Green and Spencer Smallman chipped in with two assists apiece.

Evgeny Svechnikov scored for the Screaming Eagles and assisted on Michael Joly's goal.

Sea Dogs' goaltender Marc-Antoine Turcotte made 29 saves for the win. Cape Breton's Alexandre Belanger turned aside 24 shots in the losing effort.
