SHERBROOKE, Que. - Anthony Beauregard scored once in regulation and the shootout winner as the Val-d'Or Foreurs avoided a late collapse to defeat the host Sherbrooke Phoenix 8-7 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Val-d'Or took a 7-3 lead into the third period before giving up four straight goals, including Carl Neill's tying goal with 47 seconds remaining in regulation.

Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant had a pair of goals for the Foreurs (25-22-8) while Anthony Richard scored once and set up three others. Nathan Tremblay, Jeremie Fraser and Pierre-Maxime Poudrier also scored for Val-d'Or, which has won three games in a row.

Daniel Audette struck twice for the Phoenix (30-20-5) while Raphael Lafontaine, Nicolas Poulin, Kevin Domingue and David Storto supplied the rest of the offence.

Foreurs goaltender Etienne Monpetit made 28 saves for the win. Sherbrooke's Alex Bureau allowed six goals on 20 shots before giving way to Evan Fitzpatrick, who kicked out 13-of-14 shots in 33:23 of relief.

Val-d'Or went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Phoenix converted 3-of-4 chances with the man advantage.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Danick Martel scored twice and Samuel Montembeault only had to make 13 saves as the Armada handed Baie-Comeau a third straight loss.

Philippe Sanchez and Yvan Mongo also found the back of the net for Blainville-Boisbriand (35-14-7) and Guillaume Beaudoin added two assists.

Luca Ciampini put the Drakkar (31-18-8) on the board. Philippe Cadorette stopped 28-of-32 shots in defeat.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Julio Billia made 28 saves and Sebastien Gauthier had a pair of goals as Chicoutimi blanked the Voltigeurs.

Laurent Dauphin scored once and set up two more for the Sagueneens (24-25-5) while Gabriel Gosselin, Jesse Lussier and Timothe Simard rounded out the attack.

Joe Fleschler allowed three goals on 12 shots and found himself on the Drummondville (23-30-3) bench to start the second. Anthony Brodeur stopped 8-of-11 shots in relief for the Voltigeurs, who dropped their eighth game in a row.

RIMOUSKI, Que. — Anthony DeLuca and Christopher Clapperton each scored twice as the Oceanic doubled up Rouyn-Noranda to improve to 7-0-1 in their past eight outings.

Tyler Boland picked up two assists for Rimouski (36-13-4), which got a 26-save performance from Philippe Desrosiers in net.

Antoine Waked and Alexandre Sills scored for the Huskies (27-24-4). Samuel Harvey stopped 20-of-23 shots in a losing cause.

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Conor Garland became the first player in the league to reach the 100-point plateau this season with a goal and two assists as Moncton edged the Tigres.

Ivan Barbashev had two goals and an assist for the Wildcats (37-16-3), who picked up their third straight win. Alex Dubeau made 22 saves for the victory.

Samuel Blais scored both goals for Victoriaville (23-27-6) as Olivier Tremblay turned away 18-of-21 shots in defeat.
