CHICOUTIMI, Que. - The Moncton Wildcats have advanced to the second round of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs.

Alex Dubeau made 35 saves and four different Wildcats found the back of the net as Moncton toppled the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 4-1 on Saturday in Game 5 of their best-of-seven series.

Jacob Sweeney and William Bower had a goal and an assist apiece to lead the Moncton offence. Stephen Johnson and Kyle Tibbo also scored.

Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau had the lone goal for the Sagueneens while Julia Billia stopped 31 shots.

The Wildcats were 1 for 5 on the power play while Chicoutimi failed to connect on five chances with the man advantage.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Maxime St-Cyr scored three times and Jeremy Gregoire had two goals and two assists as Baie-Comeau downed the Sea Dogs to take the best-of-seven series in five games.

Luca Ciampini scored one goal and set up two more for the Drakkar, and Vaclav Karabacek rounded out the attack.

Nathan Noel recorded a hat trick for Saint John and Mark Tremaine had a goal and an assist.

Jakub Zboril of the Sea Dogs received a game misconduct at 17:55 of the third period for checking to the head.
