QMJHL: Wildcats edge Mooseheads on Murphy's late goal
Liam Murphy scored twice — including the winner — to lift the Moncton Wildcats over the Halifax Mooseheads 4-3 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

MONCTON, N.B. — Liam Murphy scored twice — including the winner — to lift the Moncton Wildcats over the Halifax Mooseheads 4-3 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Murphy's second goal came with 4:23 left in the third period, pushing Moncton past Halifax.
Jeremy McKenna and William Bower also scored for the Wildcats (1-0-0), while Matthew Waite made 26 saves for the win.
Maxime Fortier had a pair of goals in the third period for the Mooseheads (0-1-0) to tie it 3-3 before Murphy's winner. Arnaud Durandeau opened scoring in the first period.
Kevin Resop stopped 29 shots for Halifax.
Moncton went 1 for 9 on the power play and the Mooseheads were 0 for 6.

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Alexandre Lagace and Gabriel Morency combined for a 31-save shutout to lift Rimouski over the Drakkar.
