TSN RADIO 1050 became a reality on Wednesday!

Mike Richards kicked things off for the highly-anticipated all-sports radio station, as The Mike Richards Show went live in the Greater Toronto area on AM 1050 and nationally online at TSN.ca and on TSN MOBILE at 5:30am et.

"People find the show funny for whatever reasons," said Richards. "It's who I am. If there's impressions or bits that's fine, mixed with the best sports guests in North America virtually."

That was followed by the Bryan Hayes Show from 10am to Noon et and That's Hockey 2Day with Steve Kouleas from Noon to 1pm et.

The Dan Patrick Show took over from 1pm to 4pm et and Cybulski and Company, with host James Cybulski, entertained listeners for the drive home from 4pm to 7pm et.

The inaugural day of broadcast included interviews with CFL commissioner Mark Cohon, Leafs goalie James Reimer, Chicago Blackhawks advisor Scotty Bowman, and Hockey Hall of Famer Johnny Bower.

TSN RADIO 1050 will feature the best in sports talk radio by utilizing TSN's all-star roster of sports broadcasters, experts, analysts and insiders, including Bob McKenzie, Darren Dreger, Pierre McGuire, Dave Hodge, Ray Ferraro, Dave Naylor, Glen Suitor, Chris Schultz, Matt Dunigan, Jack Armstrong, James Duthie, Michael Landsberg and Dave Randorf. ESPN's Dan Shulman and Bruce Arthur of the National Post will also make contributions.

"I think it's the complete package," said That's Hockey 2Day host Steve Kouleas, talking about the daily lineup. "From the morning with Mike [Richards] all the way through the whole 24-hour programming day. I think it's easy to fit and put different parts in, but it needs to be that A-1 stuff that says 'I'm going to keep listening.'"

TSN RADIO 1050 is a joint effort between TSN and Bell Media Radio. TSN RADIO 1050 will work closely with Bell Media Radio's portfolio of market-leading all-sports radio stations in Vancouver, Winnipeg, Montreal and Ottawa.

TSN RADIO 1050 will broadcast from CTV's historic Queen Street headquarters and TSN's studios in Toronto.
