It didn't take long for the New York Rangers to fill the void left by Cam Talbot's trade to Edmonton.

The Rangers acquired goalie Antti Raanta from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forward Ryan Haggerty.

Raanta split last year between the Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford Icehogs. In 14 games with the Blackhawks, the 26-year-old had a 1.89 goals against average and .936 save percentage.

Haggerty, 22, had 15 goals and 33 points in 76 games with the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack last year.
