(SportsNetwork.com) - The Texas Rangers ended a lengthy road losing streak on Saturday. Now they'll try to win a series on Sunday when they play the rubber match of their three-game set with the New York Mets at Citi Field.

On Saturday, Robinson Chirinos hit a three-run home run to help Texas to a 5-3 win. Adrian Beltre hit a solo home run and Alex Rios went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for the Rangers, who won for the first time in 11 road games and snapped a six-game overall losing streak.

Colby Lewis (6-5) pitched six innings and allowed three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits with seven strikeouts.

"Chirinos fought through that at-bat and got a ball up and away and hit it out to the opposite field," said Texas manager Ron Washington. "That was huge."

Travis d'Arnuad hit a solo home run for the Mets, who have lost five of their last six. Bartolo Colon (8-7) dropped his second straight start for allowing five runs on eight hits in seven innings.

Texas will hand the ball to righty Nick Tepesch, who will be trying to string back-to-back wins together. Tepesch won for the first time in four decisions on June 27, as he beat the Minnesota Twins, scattering three hits over 7 1/3 scoreless innings to run his record to 3-3, while lowering his ERA to 3.65.

"I was just able to command all four of my pitches and just commanding them in the zone and out of the zone and where I needed to command them," Tepesch said.

Heading to the hill for the Mets on Sunday will be right-hander Zack Wheeler, who is 3-8 with a 4.25 ERA. Wheeler struggled with his command in a no- decision against Atlanta on Monday, as he allowed a run and four hits in 6 1/3 innings, but walked five batters in his team's 5-3 loss.

"It happens every once in a while," said Wheeler, who had been rocked for six runs in two innings of his previous outing. "I fell into a little groove the more I went into the game. My command was there a little more. I just felt comfortable."

Wheeler, who has never faced the Rangers, is 3-8 on the year with a 4.25 ERA.

Despite Saturday's loss, New York has won seven of 11 from the Rangers overall.
