Veteran New York Rangers forward Rick Nash will miss the next week after suffering a lower-body injury during Tuesday's loss against the New York Islanders.

Nash had a MRI on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old has 11 goals and six assists over 26 games this season with the Rangers, his fifth with the team. 

The first overall pick of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft has tallied 404 goals and 347 assists over 949 career games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Rangers.  

In other injury news, winger Matt Puempel was concussed after taking a crosscheck to the jaw against the Isles.
