Owings Mills, MD - The Baltimore Ravens will terminate the contract of nose tackle Terrence Cody after the Super Bowl, the team announced Friday.

Cody was set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 10.

Cody is under investigation for animal cruelty, according to the Baltimore Sun. He hasn't been charged with a crime.

According to multiple sources, the case involves the death of Cody's dog.

In 2014, Cody played only one game after being on the physically unable to perform list for the first nine weeks of the season.
