Ottawa Redblacks GM Marcel Desjardins and former Redblacks DE Shawn Lemon got into a Twitter spat Thursday after Lemon signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The feud appeared to start when Scott Mitchell of the Calgary Sun reported the Redblacks were one of three teams trying to sign Lemon that ultimately lost out to the Roughriders.

Desjardins refuted that report, which Lemon took exception to. Lemon took to Twitter, posting what appeared to be a text conversation between him and Desjardins, with Desjardins offering Lemon a deal. Desjardins then refuted that those were his texts. Lemon would later delete the tweet.
