The Ottawa Redblacks announced the signing of international defensive lineman Landon Cohen on Tuesday.

The Ohio product was selected 216th overall in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.

Since being waived by the Lions in 2010, he’s bounced around to nine different teams in the span of five years.

During his time in the NFL, the 29-year-old recorded 46 tackles in 40 career games with the Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. He was also on the Seatle Seahawks' roster when they captured the Super Bowl in 2014.

Cohen will be on the active roster in the Redblacks’ home opener against the Calgary Stampeders on Friday night.
