CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Reds called up outfielder Scott Schebler from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday to fill the roster spot opened when right fielder Jay Bruce was traded to the New York Mets a day earlier.

Schebler was starting in left field and Adam Duvall was moving to right for the first game of a series against the St. Louis Cardinals. Bruce was tied with Duvall for the team lead with 25 homers and led the NL with 80 RBIs when he was traded.

The Reds also called up infielder Tony Renda and optioned infielder Jose Peraza to Louisville. Right-hander A.J. Morris was transferred to the 60-day disabled list as he recovers from a strained pitching shoulder.

Right-hander Tim Adleman was activated from the DL and optioned to Louisville. He's had a strained left oblique.
