According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins recently suffered a broken foot and needed a screw inserted as part of the recovery process. The 22-year-old should be ready for training camp.

Watkins recorded 60 receptions for 1047 yards and nine touchdowns over 13 games for the Bills in 2015, his sophomore season in the NFL.

The Bills got some more bad news Monday as 2016 first round pick Shaq Lawson will undergo surgery on his shoulder after all. Prior to the draft in late April, many believed the Clemson defensive end would delay surgery until after his rookie campaign.

The Bills selected Lawson with the 19th overall pick.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Watkins had surgery three weeks ago and is expected to miss the preseason while Lawson will likely miss up to six months.
