Bismack Biyombo has reportedly opted out of his contract with the Toronto Raptors, setting him up to hit unrestricted free agency on July 1.

Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders reports Biyombo made the move official on Monday night.

Biyombo had been set to make $3 million with the Raptors in 2016-17, but is expected to draw significant interest on the open market.

Biyombo appeared in all 82 games for the Raptors last season, averaging 5.5 points, 8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. The 23-year-old set a franchise record with 26 rebounds in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, one of two wins in the series for the Raptors.

Pincus reports Biyombo had seven days from the Raptors' final playoff game to opt out of his contract and therefore did before June 3. DeMar DeRozan has until June 15 to opt out of his deal.
